MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT DREADFALLS AND DREAD EXTENSIONS

Dear Concerned Parent:

Contrary to popular belief, synthetic dreads as tie-on hairpieces (falls) or extensions will not harm your child's hair. First and foremost it is important to stress that both tie-on hairpieces and extensions are temporary applications to their hair. The tie-on hairpieces are worn for a day and the extensions are inteded for for several weeks. There are no chemicals involved in the process whatsoever. As a matter of fact, synthetic dread extensions protect hair from the elements as the natural hair is braided and not exposed.

If you are concerned about your child's prospects in the work force, again, let me stress that applications of extensions are temporary, and can be removed at any time. Many of my own clients work in professional environments and slip on synthetic dreads as they would wear a shirt or particular make-up. There is no cause for concern regarding the viability of employment for your child.

If you are concerned about your child wearing crazy colours, please be aware that we also offer natural-colour options. Meredith wears a custom-colour matched dreadfall that blends seemlessly with her hard and isn't at all crazy-looking - natural colours may be a happy compromise, allowing your child to wear the style of hair they'd like to while at the same time easing your concerns about their hair.

I do hope that this information helps in clearing up some misconceptions dealing with synthetic hair products. If you do have any questions or concerns feel free to email me: admin@beautifullychaotic.net.
